In our relentless pursuit of the Great American
Barbecue experience, we’ve encountered an untold amount of BBQ Lovers across
this country with some of the most down right ugly BBQ contraptions to say the
least.
But, regardless of how you spell it in your neck of the
woods… Whether it’s BBQ, B-B-Q, Barbecue, Bar-B-Que or just plain “Q”…
It’s never been about the beauty of that unsightly beast in your backyard that
was important for savoring the flavor of the flame… It’s always been what comes
off the dawg-gone thing in the end that truly counts… Until now!
We’ve found more often than not, seems the uglier it
looks the better it cooks. “Cuz, cookers don’t gotta be pretty” to come up with
that award winning barbeque flavor. So we decided that these infamous keepers
of the flame across America have gone un-noticed long enough, and it’s time to
give credit where the true credit is due…

Each month a panel of KCBS (Kansas City Barbeque
Society) Certified BBQ Judges will select the winner of our “Ugliest BBQ Grill
of the Month” contest and it will be feature it here on our website.
Each monthly winner will automatically become eligible
for the grand prize “Ugliest BBQ Grill of the Year” award, receive 3 jumbo

Grand
Prize: The winner of the “Ugliest BBQ Grill of the Year”
award will be announced April 10th, 2009 and win the Grill Lovers
opportunity of a lifetime to cook along side 7 Time World BBQ Champion, “The

Official “Ugly BBQ” Contest Rules:
1.
All
monthly entries must be received by midnight of the last day of each month to
qualify for the following month. You can re-submit your entry every month until
you qualify.
2.
Maximum
of 3 pictures per entry, per month.
3.
You must be the owner of the BBQ.
4.
You
must be citizen of the U.S.
5.
You
must be at least 18 years of age.
6.
You
DO NOT need to be in the picture yourself. (We will not be judging you
regardless of what you look like.)
7.
The
BBQ must have been used within the last year.
8.
Professional
and non-professional grills are eligible.
9.
Any
Propane (LP), natural gas, charcoal, wood burners or any combination there of
are all eligible.
10.
All
entries submitted to GRILLTAMER™ and the “BBQ Hall of Shame” are subject to the
discretion of the judges.
