Regardless of the cut of pork ribs you decide on (St. Louis Style, Baby Backs or Full Cut Spare Ribs), this recipe is sure to have the neighbors peeking over the fence to see what you got cookin’ on the grill.
Ingredients Needed:
- 2 – Slabs of pork ribs (trimmed and membrane removed)
- GRILLTAMER™ Master Blend™ seasoning
- 2 – oranges or grapefruit cut into quarters (wedges)
Barbecue Sauce (optional)
Directions:
- Remove ribs from the refrigerator, rinse thoroughly with water and pat dry.
- Squeeze juice from 1 quarter of an orange or grapefruit on both sides of the ribs.
- Liberally sprinkle and rub the ribs on both sides with GRILLTAMER™ Master Blend™ seasoning.
- Place the ribs on a cutting board or cookie sheet and let stand for about 30 minutes before cooking.
- Pre-heat the grill on high heat with lid closed for 12 to 15 minutes.
- Reduce the gas settings to low, put the ribs on the grill (preferably the upper grate if possible)
- Install the GRILLTAMER™ in the grill lid and maintain a steady temperature between 325° F to 350° F and wash the cutting board or cookie sheet.
- Flip the ribs over every 20 minutes and squeeze another orange or grapefruit wedge over the top of the ribs each time until the ribs are done. (approx. 1.5 to 2 hours)
(Optional) Brush the ribs with your favorite barbecue sauce on both sides in the last 10 to 15 minutes or serve it on the side as a dippin’ sauce.
- Put the ribs on the clean cutting board or cookie sheet, separate the ribs into portions with a sharp knife, garnish and serve.
